What is Facebook?
What is Facebook
Facebook
has quite a lot of features but its main features are
- News Feed.- Put simply, the system determines which posts
show up in your News Feed, and in what order, by predicting what you're
most likely to be interested in or engage with. These predictions are
based on a variety of factors, including what and whom you've followed,
liked, or engaged with recently.
- Friends.- Friending on Facebook helps you stay connected
with people you care about. Adding a friend means you may see each
other's activity in Feed, Stories and Photos. When you want to add a
friend on Facebook, keep in mind: You should only send friend requests to
people you know and trust.
- Wall.- A Facebook wall is the area on a profile or page
where friends and “fans” can post their thoughts, views, or criticisms for
everyone to see. Walls have three viewing settings: user + others,
just the user, and just others. These settings can be changed by clicking
the "filters" option at the top of the wall.
- Timeline.- Timeline combines a user's Facebook Wall and Profile
into one page, creating a more visually holistic profile.
- Likes and Reactions.- Reactions are an extension of the Like Button to give people more ways to share their reaction to a post in a quick and easy way. The collection of Reactions includes Like, Love, Care, Haha, Wow, Sad and Angry.. Go to the post or comment you want to react to. Tap and hold Like, and then choose a reaction. The most popular reactions appear below the post or comment as icon.
- Comments.- A Facebook comment lets you respond to a post or picture on Facebook. To comment on a Facebook post, click Comment underneath the post, or click into the white box that says, “Write a Comment.” Type what you want to say and press enter to publish the message.
Messages and inbox.- When you send a message to someone you're
friends with on Facebook, it gets delivered to their Facebook messages inbox.
Notifications- Notifications are updates
about activity on Facebook. You can go to your notifications settings
to change what you're notified about and how you're notified. The types of
notifications you may receive depends on what platform you're using.
